Account → Settings is your own account: your password, your language, your theme, and every device you are signed in on. It belongs to you, not to your school, and it follows you between schools.

Who can do this

View Settings, which every role holds. There is nothing here that needs permission — it is your account.

Password at the top, devices below. The tick box on the password form is on by default.

Changing your password

Current password, new password, confirm. Show passwords reveals what you have typed if you need to check it.

Sign out of all other devices is ticked by default, and should usually stay that way. You remain signed in where you are; every other session ends. If you are changing your password because you think somebody else has it, that tick box is the part that actually helps.

Signed-in devices

Everywhere your account is currently signed in, each entry showing the browser and operating system, the IP address, and when it was last used. Your current device is marked This device.

Sign out ends a session immediately. You do not need access to that device.

What to do about a lost phone

Open Settings from any other device, find the phone in the list, sign it out. Then change your password with sign out of all other devices ticked.

Both are immediate. Neither requires the phone.

Sessions also end on their own: after a period of inactivity, when you sign out, when you change your password, and when an administrator resets it.

Language

English, Afrikaans, Sesotho and isiZulu. The translation covers every screen, not just the sign-in page.

Language is yours alone. A teacher working in Sesotho and an administrator working in English are looking at the same data through the same system.

Change it here or from the picker in the top bar.

Theme

Three options:

DarkThe default. Every screenshot in this manual
Light
SystemFollows your phone or computer, so it turns dark at night on a device that does

The sun/moon control in the top bar is the same setting, one click away.

Your profile

Your own profile — contact details, photo — is reached from the menu under your name.

What you can change about yourself is deliberately narrow: contact details, not your role, your grade or your school. Those belong to the school and changing them is an administrator’s action, recorded in the Activity Log.

Switching schools

If you are attached to more than one school, Switch school is at the bottom of the sidebar under your name. Switching re-scopes everything — the sidebar, your permissions, the data — to the other school.

Your language and theme follow you across the switch. They are yours, not the school’s.
