Your school uses Alviyora. Your account shows you three things: your timetable, your homework, and your marks. That is genuinely all of it.

It is a website, not an app. Nothing to install — open the address your school gave you, on any phone.

Signing in

Your school gave you either an email address or a username — something like amanda.ntuli.1747 — and a temporary password. Both go in the same box on the sign-in screen.

Change the password the first time you sign in, under Settings.

Forgotten your password?

If you have an email address on your account, use Forgot password?. If you sign in with a username, you have no mailbox to send it to — ask a teacher or the office to reset it for you.

Your timetable

Academics → Timetable. Your class’s week: which subject, in which period, on which day, and who teaches it.

If your school runs exams through Alviyora, your exam timetable is here too — dates, times and venues.

Your homework

Academics → Homework. Everything set for your class, ordered with what is due soonest at the top.

Tick an item when you have done it. That tick is:

  • Your own record of what is finished.
  • Visible to your teacher, who can see who has ticked and who has not.
  • Visible to your parents, who can see the same.

It is not a submission. Nothing is uploaded and nothing is marked from the tick — you still hand the work in however your teacher asks for it.

Your marks

Academics → Results. Every subject you take, every assessment your teacher has published, your mark, what it was out of, and your average per subject.

Why a test you wrote is not there

Teachers publish marks when the marking is finished. Until then the assessment is invisible to you. If a test from last week is not showing, it is still being marked — asking your teacher is faster than refreshing.

Announcements

Anything your school posts to learners appears on your dashboard, with a red badge until you have read it.

Settings

Account → Settings holds your password, your language — English, Afrikaans or Sesotho or isiZulu — and light or dark mode. All of them are yours; changing them affects nobody else.

What you cannot see

  • Anybody else’s marks, attendance or homework.
  • Any staff information.
  • The notes teachers write on profiles.

If something looks wrong

A mark you think is incorrect, an absence you think should be excused, a subject missing from your list — all of those are your school’s to fix, not something you can change. Speak to the teacher for that subject, or to the office.
